I can’t believe we are almost through the first full week of December already and that Christmas is less than 3 weeks away!! I got a good start on my Christmas shopping on Black Friday/Cyber Monday, but I haven’t bought a single thing since…I’m gonna have to step it up the weekend fo sho! One of my favorite parts of Christmas is receiving Christmas cards from all of our friends and family. I love displaying them in our home and being able to see them throughout the holiday season. We started receiving cards last week, and every time we get one in the mail, it just makes me so excited! Every year, when I take them down, I put all of them on a little ring that I got from the school supply section @ Target, and this makes it so easy to keep them all together by year. This way, years down the road, I’ll be able to easily look back on them.
My brother is into photography as a hobby, so I con him into taking pictures for our Christmas card every year. I’ve included some of the shots from this year’s shoot below. Just excuse the pasty white legs, y’all. You can only achieve them by slathering SPF on your legs all summer long and then being too lazy to apply self tanner. I like a little sparkle this time of year, so my #1 requirement for our cards is usually gold foil, then my husband likes for it to say ‘Merry Christmas’ instead of Happy Holidays or something of the like, and I usually pick my favorite from there! I’ve always used Minted for our cards, and they are so great to work with! I love how they address the envelopes for me, which saves tons of time, and my writing isn’t legible anyway. They’re quick to send your proof and then get them shipped out super fast. I ordered my cards on November 29 and received them in 6 days from when I ordered them to having them in my hands! In my opinion, they have the best selection of anyone else out there also, because I always check out a few others, and always end up going back to Minted.
Don’t laugh at my lack of blogger modeling skills, people. One of these days I may get it down, but until then, this is what you’re stuck with haha! I knew I wanted to wear a tulle skirt for our card this year. They are so versatile, and you can pair them with everything from a t-shirt to a sweater, depending on the occasion. My outfits above are super affordable! The tulle skirt is from Amazon, and it’s just $32. It’s just the right amount of poof without being too over-the-top. It has an elastic waist band and does fit a little snug, so I think I would have been okay even sizing up to a medium. It just depends on the thickness of your sweater or top if you’re planning to tuck it in. I originally ordered my fav plaid from J.Crew Factory for this shoot, but I didn’t realize when I purchased it that it was on backorder. So I had to scramble around for something similar 2 days before, and I scored this plaid shirt (which looks almost exactly like the J.Crew one) for less than $15 @ Kohl’s!! My leopard clutch is less than $40, and is sold out right now, but I’ve linked some similar ones below. I am absolutely loving these red pumps from Target, and they are so perfect for the holidays! You can wear them with skirts, dresses, or jeans to add that little pop of red to spice up your outfit. You can scroll down to see our cards from past years and some of my fav Minted cards. Have a mahvelous rest of the week, my friends!

Our 1st Christmas card:
Our 2016 card:
Here is the card I picked for us this year. I wanted to do a little something different from years past, and I stumbled upon this card and loved the foil border and how it was completely different than our other ones. I liked how all of the colors in our photo contrasted with the white background, and I liked the festive red berries and branches.
2017 Christmas Card!
Below, I’ve linked some of my favorite styles from Minted. This post is not in any way sponsored. I just wanted to share with y’all my go-to card company for all occasions!
