Just a Pop of Leopard

This is one of my fav color combos:  black, army, and leopard.  Yes, I am counting leopard as a color!  I love throwing in an unexpected pattern to totally transform an otherwise “boring” outfit.  My favorite is pairing leopard with stripes or florals, which I’m sure you’ll see here on The Daily often.  Something similar to this is so easy to just thrown on and still look well put-together.  Even though the temps are in the 90s here in Nashville, I’m still repping long sleeves and layers.  Maybe if I wear enough fall-like clothing, it will actually make cooler weather come…it’s worth a shot!

These ankle-length distressed jeans are from Nordstrom Rack.  I just bought them 2 weeks ago in-store, but I can’t find the exact style online.  They are Joe’s Jeans, and this brand is always so flattering for someone like me with curves.  I love this wash and the distressed look.  They are skinny ankles and hit me in the perfect spot!  Regular skinny jeans are usually too long on me and bunch up, so this ankle length does the trick.  For sizing reference, I’m wearing my normal 26, so I would say they are true to size and don’t stretch out much with wear.

This long sleeve tee is from Nordstrom, and I bought it in 3 different colors last year.  I wear an XS, and they still have a more baggy look, but I like this particular fit.  It’s my go-to if I’m wanting a looser comfy fit, and I like the longer length.  That way you can also knot them up for a little more added detail and wear them with jeans or skirts, and then just throw on a scarf to top it off.

I lucked up one day in Target and found this cute army green vest.  I love this style, because it has a tie and cinches in at the waist, so it isn’t shapeless like others can be.  Vests are perfect to throw on with any outfit to get that perfectly layered look which is great for transitional temperatures, or to keep your core warm in the chilly winter temps.  I especially love pairing them with dresses and tees.  They also offer a plus size in this particular vest, which I’ve linked below.

These suede leopard flats are from Target, and I looove them!  They’re perfect to throw on with an outfit like this for that unexpected pop.  They immediately add visual interest to any monochromatic outfit.  My exact ones are from last year, but I found some that are very similar and linked them below.

My necklace is from Banana Republic, and it instantly dresses up any outfit.  A statement necklace is great for those days where you just want to be comfy in jeans and a tee.  You can add an eye-catching accessory, and it will totally transform your look.  Add a snazzy pair of shoes, and you can look so put-together for just a couple more minutes of effort.  My necklace is sold out, but I’ve linked a couple other statement necklaces that I really like below.

A little behind the scenes action for ya.  Sometimes I put ol’ Pay Dog to work as my assistant in the mornings also  ; )
