Casual Friday

Happy Friday!  Was it just me, or did this week seem to drag on and on and on??  Needless to say, today wasn’t a ‘get all dolled up’ and be cute kind of day.  I was definitely feeling some comfy clothes to get me through.  That’s usually my Friday go-to unless I’m heading out somewhere right after work, so here are my last two Friday outfits.  Just trying to keep it real, because I sure don’t dress up all the time.  Ain’t nobody got time for that!

These leggings are my absolute favorite that I have ever had, seriously.  I came across the long version last year, and I wore them ALL the time.  I wore them as comfy wear, workout wear, bottoms with long tunics and boots, even underneath my ski pants while skiing.  They are so versatile!  They’re high waisted, so they hold you in in all the right places, and are of great quality.  Unlike other leggings out there, these are thicker and aren’t the least bit see-through.  I snagged another pair this year when they were only $35 during Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale!  When I saw this capri pair on sale as well, I knew I had to grab them up!  I love the mesh detail on the back of the legs.  For sizing reference, I wear a small in both.

I have had this highlighter pink tee from J.Crew for years, and they have a ton of other similar ones to choose from on their site.  All of their tees are so comfy, wash well, and last a long time.  I’ve linked some similar ones below.  My favorite go-to is the Madewell Whisper Cotton V-Neck Tee, which I have in 4 different colors.  They’re so easy to just throw on and go.  You can get them straight from the Madewell site, and Nordstrom also offers them.  I wear both an XS and S, depending on the fit I’m going for, so they run true to size.  I’ve linked 4 similar styles below.

I bought these Converse shoes for our Italy trip this summer after seeing another blogger wear them regularly.  I needed something that could be cute and work with tons of outfits, yet still be comfy enough to walk miles in everyday.  They are also pretty easy to spot-clean when needed. I wear a 7 1/2, so they are TTS.

I know the pic above is ridiculous, but I wanted you to be able to see the high waist and how they really do suck in your tummy.  They also have a little pocket at the top left perfect for holding a key if you’re working out, or it’s also great for Payton’s dog treats in my case haha!  Just disregard how gooberish I look.

My cardigan is from Gap, and I “went shopping” in my closet and found it this past week.  I’m happy I did, because I was literally trying to find something exactly like this online to buy a few days prior.  It may be time for me to do an overview of my closet and see what else I’ve got hiding in there…I’ve had this one for a couple of years, so I’ve linked some similar ones below.  I love a good long cardigan, but since I’m only 5’3″, I can’t wear some of the really long ones without just looking silly.

I just got my necklace from Loft a month or so ago, but I looked today, and it is no longer for sale on their site!  I’ve linked some other styles for you instead.

This long sleeve tee is from Loft and isn’t available anymore, but I’ve linked a few others below.  I like the looser comfy fit, so that you can also knot them up for a little more added detail and wear them with jeans or a skirt, and then just throw on a scarf to top it off.  I literally live in vests in the fall.  I throw them on with almost every outfit to add an extra layer of warmth, or even just a little extra piece of visual interest that can easily be taken off if needed.  This style is my absolute fav, and I have accumulated several different colors in the last 2-3 years.  I always catch them when they are 40-50% off, and they are not a bad price at all.  They are thinner so they give you a little more shape as opposed to the really thick puffer vests, depending on the look you are going for.  With this casual look, I could just have easily worn one of those instead.  My leggings and shoes are the same as above.
